Accor Stadium, known non-commercially as Stadium Australia, is a 82,000-capacity stadium located at Sydney Olympic Park in the west of Sydney, Australia. Built to be the centrepiece of the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games, it now serves primarily as a rectangular sports and entertainment venue. No other outdoor stadium used for the Olympics had been bigger than Stadium Australia at the time of the games, with its 110,000 seating capacity.
Specially designed for the unique Australian environment, the stadium shades and protects the majority of spectators. Suspended from a huge arch structure and three hectares in area, the roof is constructed from translucent polycarbonate to minimise the shadows and patches of direct sunlight on the playing area, creating ideal conditions for TV presentations and spectators.
The new state-of-the-art Allianz Stadium is located in Sydney’s Moore Park and hosted its first event on September 2, 2022. Built on the site of the old SFS which was demolished in 2019, the project builds on the legacy of the Sydney Sports Ground (1899) and the original Sydney Football Stadium, opened as a Bicentennial Project in 1988.
The new 42,500-capacity stadium features three levels of seating on either side of the playing arena with two levels at the ends. A steep incline ensures all seats are close to and on top of the action with not a bad seat in the house.

The course proper has a circumference of 2224m with a home straight of 410m.

Qudos Bank Arena (formerly the Sydney SuperDome) is Australia’s premier indoor multi-purpose venue. Built for the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games, the venue has a maximum capacity of 18,000 for sports such as Basketball and Netball, while capacity for concerts can exceed 21,000. Taking 18 months to build, Qudos Bank Arena opened in November 1999 at a cost of $200 million. The venue is situated at Sydney Olympic Park right next to ANZ Stadium. It opened as the Sydney SuperDome before Acer purchased the naming rights in May 2006. In September 2011, Allphones took over the naming-rights of the venue.
The MCG was built way back in 1853 when the then 15-year-old Melbourne Cricket Club was forced by the government to move from its former site because the route of Australia’s first steam train was to pass through the oval. Since that time, the MCG has seen many major redevelopments with the latest completed in February 2006. The Docklands venue features a retractable roof ensuring perfect conditions at all times. It opens and closes in less than 20 minutes and even with the roof open, 98 percent of patrons are sitting behind the drip line of the roof. The $41.5M five-tiered stand includes approximately 6900 viewing seats, betting lounge and a member’s level with a unique glazed atrium space with spectacular trackside and city views.
Rod Laver Arena at Melbourne Park is the largest indoor arena in Melbourne and the home of the Australian Open. Opened in 1988 as part of the original National Tennis Centre complex, the arena plays host to a wide range of sports and entertainment events, from tennis to international rock stars and motorbike super-cross. The most dynamic transformation Rod Laver Arena has seen was in March 2007 with the FINA 2007 World Swimming Championships when a 50 metre temporary pool was built on the arena’s floor.
Suncorp Stadium, traditionally known as Lang Park and non-commercially as Brisbane Stadium, is the home of Rugby League in Queensland. A major $280 million redevelopment of the stadium was completed in June 2003 to convert it into a state-of-the-art all-seater stadium. The two year project saw the stadium closed for the duration with all but the main grandstand demolished, which was incorporated into the new design. Suncorp Stadium is one of Australia’s leading rectangular stadiums, if not the world, and it plays host to many major events each year.
